The frequency responce has quite a bump in it between hz and 2. Usually those type of diaphragms sound like shit and only plastic imbedded titanium diaphragms sound acceptably. JBL mid-range driver. Am I reading this properly?? The driver is JBL The’re supposed to be low compression and that, with the big 3″ exits, are supposed to make them sound more “relaxed.
I had no idea a suitable horn would be 4 feet by 4 feet and the driver itself had frequency issues; from what is stated on the JBL Pro website, you’d think it was the Mother of All Midrange Compression Drivers or something. As my Goto drivers are quite a bit more expensive than any of the above,I am not too worried about the cost differential between them. As I said I am very afraid of a cold, steely bright sound.

All I could get from the Consumer distributors was a very curt “No”. They are within a whisker of the most expensive ALE and more than the most expensive Goto. Both will give you the warmth and clarity that the had with the added benefit of a newer phase plug design. I do not believe I ever claimed originality.
