DELL LATITUDE D600 INTEL PRO/WIRELESS NETWORK CONNECTION DRIVER

Must be something wrong with how the software is written as I can see networks so I know it wasn’t off. This by the way was a test to see how Linux would work with this laptop using another hard drive I have for it. Maybe you could try a different kernel, possibly an older one. I don’t even think you can do that with Linux and the FN key that controls the functions at the top of the keyboard. One is to the manuals available from Dell, the other is from a site called eHow, which I have gotten good info from in the past. I know wired to the router I can connect directly to the internet but not wireless presently. I know from using Windows though that the firewall is always on even wired it stays on as it has questioned downloads at least in Windows 7.

Press the F2 key again to turn off Wi-Fi on the Dell laptop.

If there’s a harder way to do something I’ll probably find it. Hi thank you for your help this was a new install of Linux and I don’t remember turning the wireless off.

Thank you for your help! I know wired to the router I can connect directly to the internet but not wireless presently. I unfortunately can’t connect to any of them even if I had the key.
