Was compatible with the server sw but wasn’t certified so you had to tell the driver it was ok. So back to my Sonnet driver Last edited by BobPhoenix; at It even recognizes 3TB drives. This machine is meant to backup my main server that is currently based on R 2 but is likely to be upgraded to the latest assuming a new version of server comes out with windows I have downloaded the drivers from Supermicro, but they are not the same drivers that came on the CD.

If it is not then I apologize in advance. You need two reverse cables. I need to find a way to completly uninstall this card to start fresh.

Sun Sep 13, 4: I didn’t like that idea so I went looking for cards with the same chip-set to see if they would have a signed driver that would install.
Did you look here? Share this post Link to post. I have been putting my “old” 4gig ddr3 ram on that board from my desktops as I have upgraded each to 8gig memory modules. Your Sonnet driver suggestion worked perfectly in R2.
Also, if you have that card, you don’t have the same controller cards as Cavediver’s Andromeda as you mentioned in your first post. Was originally intended to be a HomeServer box but not being used as such any more.
